All Years, 50 Years of Service to the College
Congratulations to Mrs Angela Stevenson who, this week, celebrates 50 years of service to the College. She is best known more recently for her support invigilating exams and supporting our students through the exam process, but she has worked at the College since 19 June 1973. Thank you Mrs Stephenson for your longstanding dedication to our College community.

All Years, Shirt Sleeve Order
Next week no blazers or ties will be needed in College and shirt sleeves may be rolled up as the hot weather is set to continue. This will be reviewed on a weekly basis.

All Years, Durrell Tortoise Trail Locations Announced
We are delighted to be able to share where our students' beautiful creations will be on display during the sculpture trail which launched last week. Our school tortoises will be looked after by:
- Victoria College tortoise – Durrell Charity Shop
- Braithwaite tortoise – Andium Homes
- Bruce tortoise – de Gruchy
- Diarmid tortoise – Romerils
- Dunlop tortoise – Maison de la Normandie
- Sartorius tortoise - Highvern
Tortoise Takeover is an island-wide, public art trail that is bringing together every part of Jersey's community and, in turn, protecting some of the most threatened species on the planet.

All Years, ArtEquals Workshop, Friday 23 June & Exhibition Tickets
A Silkscreen printing workshop is taking place tomorrow (Friday 23 June) after school in JADAT, details here. Please email Foundation & Alumni Officer, Emily Sweeny (e.sweeny@vcj.sch.je) to reserve a space (only a few remaining).
Thank you so much to everyone - pupils, teachers, parents who entered artwork for our inaugural ArtEquals exhibition and auction, which will take place next Friday, 30 June.
Free tickets can be booked via TicketSource here for what hopes to be a wonderful celebration of creativity here at Victoria College. Bring the whole family and meet some local artists.

All Years, Family Fun Day (Old Victorians' Association) - Saturday 15 July
The Old Victorians' Association is hosting a fete-style event on Saturday 15 July on College Field to raise funds for the Victoria College Foundation.
There will be several stalls and zones at the event to provide entertainment, including a soft play zone, a catered BBQ, live music, a drinks zone, cornhole, a cricket tournament and other fete favourites for children and families to enjoy.
The whole Victoria College community is invited, you are welcome to bring your friends and family too!

All Years, ADHD Parent/Carer/Professional Support Group Meeting with Mind Jersey
This month Mind Jersey wil be attending this ADHD Parent/Carers and Professionals support meeting – Thursday 29 June 2023, 6:30pm – 8:30pm at Samares School. They will be talking about the support they can offer to children with ADHD and their families. Diagnosed or undiagnosed, it does not matter. They can provide one to one support or group work to meet your child's and your families needs. They will also be joined by staff from CAMHS who can help with any appointment or waiting list queries you may have and also provide you with some advice and guidance.
The first part of the session will be to watch and listen to the presentation from Mind and the second part for peer support.

All Years, Motion Studio Jersey Club
Motion Studio Jersey are coming to Victoria College in September to run an animation club on Friday lunchtimes. This club is the perfect starting point for budding young animators to develop their skills and become more creative. If you are interested and would like to sign your son up please email Head of Clubs and Activities, James Townsend (j.townsend@vcj.sch.je) to add your child to the list.
The club costs £66 per student for the 6 week course to cover the cost of staffing, art materials and tech.

All Years, Inclusive Early Years and Education Vision
The engagement of school staff, parents and early years practitioners in workshops to inform the development of a vision and charter for inclusive education and early years is ongoing. This piece of work will be key to the future of education and CYPES would like to gain input from people from all backgrounds and experiences.
Here you will find a poster about the event and how to book your place. The session on Saturday 24 June will be hosted by the minister who is keen to hear your views. Booking instructions are included on the attached poster.
