All Years, Government of Jersey Participation Standards Workshops
Hundreds of children, young people and those who work with them have been invited to help shape how they will be involved in future decisions made by the Government of Jersey.
As part of the 100 days of Government the Chief Minister, Deputy Kristina Moore, and Children and Education Minister, Deputy Inna Gardiner, pledged to bring forward plans to involve young people in decision making.
To achieve this, the Government is asking children, young people, and those who work with them including headteachers, carers, charities and services, to help create the first Participation Standards for Jersey.
They will be holding workshops on 30 September and will be visiting Victoria College in early October to run a Participation Standards Workshop and Survey. Please see the linked press release which details more about this. Government Standards for Engaging with Children and Young People
They have also prepared a survey to share with children, young people and parents and especially with the children attending the workshop so it helps to set the scene of what Participation Standards are. Survey: Demographic Survey (typeform.com)
